Tae has experience leading multidisciplinary teams of physicians, nurses, administrative leaders, and frontline staff of varying specialties through complex business problems. Tae creates data-driven solutions tailored to his clients’ needs and serves as a trusted adviser for navigating through highly ambiguous challenges.
Before joining ECG, Tae worked at Mayo Clinic as a senior management consultant in the department of strategy. In his role, he established a novel care delivery program targeted for outpatient postsurgical recovery patients, which saw a 24% utilization hike in the first year. During the hospital supply shortage crisis in 2020, he developed and implemented a PPE reprocessing program to collect and clean over 10,000 pieces of PPE. Tae also led process automation and IT design projects, including developing customized scheduling tools that improved efficiency by nearly 800%. Prior to his work with Mayo, Tae served in the Republic of Korea Air Force, where he initiated a Lean Six Sigma project to save the department $5,000 annually.
